Duplo Legos play toys introduce small kids to many imaginary and real-life situations. Kids can engage in pretend play and have conversations between the characters. This sort of play is a lot of fun. Duplo Legos encourage kids to develop their social skills by learning the art of sharing, taking turns, being patient, and growing their With these two sets of toys, i.e., lego Duplo vs. Mega blocks, it is important to remember that they target different age groups. Duplo is best suited for children ages two and up, while Mega blocks target children between ages four and twelve. While kids can technically play with both sets, they are not necessarily the best fit for everyone.
Duplo bricks are twice (in each dimension) the size of regular bricks, and it's not hard to mix them, look for instance at the top related question (look in the right side). All the Creative Play-boxes I found in a quick search seems to bear the Duplo logo, meaning that they are Duplo, so of course they are compatible.
COBI parts are slightly more shiny and they have more slanted pieces. COBI parts fit a little more snuggly which can be great for stability and annoying for taking apart. So, we may have missed some differences but for the sake of brevity, we will continue on to the similarities between COBI bricks and LEGO.

The comment is a reference to the Lego Movie, but it's also a great bit of satire in that the joke hits fairly close to real life. The Duplo version is intended as a toy in every sense: little kids play with it as a toy. The larger set is still Lego, so you could deconstruct it and play with the pieces. Or you could very well play with it as a toy.
Lego’s toddler-focused brand, Duplo, has all the adventure and excitement of classic Lego bricks in a large-format, toddler-friendly shape. With kits that are more simple, easier to build, and safer to play with, the Best Duplo Blocks and Duplo Sets are a good bet for anyone who is looking to get a gift for a kid between the ages of 2 and 5.
Differences Between the Blocks. Mega Bloks are much bigger than Lego blocks and because of this they are more suitable for younger children to use. Older children are better challenged by the small, intricate nature of Lego blocks. While both brands’ blocks come in all sorts of colors, only Mega Block offers metallic and camo shades.

attheendoftheday · 22/11/2014 19:03. The figures are the same size but the arms are attached to the bodies. We have a couple of bits of playmobil 123 but both my dds (3.6 and 21 months) have a clear preference for proper playmobil. It does have little bits but neither seem particularly prone to eating them. Add message.
The cost per piece for the Lego Star Wars sets is about 13 cents. For the Halo sets, it is 10 cents per piece. The Star Wars set includes 5 minifigures, while the Mega Construx set includes 4, with a more detailed design. Accordingly, the Mega Construx set is slightly cheaper than the Star Wars set from Lego. The debate was kind of halted though (until more evidence is delivered) by one picture being shared which quite awesomely pointed out the differences between Lego and Playmobil. When I heard of this picture, I was hesitant to check it out because of what it might show. However, it turned out to be far more hilarious than serious, and it was 1. Ok, stud (or knob), tube, pin and wall should name the basic features of a simple brick. The little support walls at the bottom could be called splines. – Jakob. Nov 6, 2012 at 8:11. Add a comment. LEGO DUPLO® is LEGO’s® range of bricks for children aged between 18 months and 5 years. The main difference is that LEGO DUPLO® is twice the size of regular LEGO® (they’re scaled up at an exact 2:1 ratio). Because LEGO DUPLO® is designed for the littlest hands and youngest minds, this larger size makes LEGO DUPLO® easier to play with

Lego minifigure. A Lego minifigure, often simply referred to as a Lego figure or a minifig, is a small plastic articulated figurine made of special Lego bricks produced by Danish building toy manufacturer The Lego Group. They were first produced in 1978 and have been a success, with over 4 billion produced worldwide as of 2020.
The main difference is the size of the bricks, the quality and the price. Lego® Duplo bricks are considered to be of higher quality and are twice the size of traditional Lego bricks. Mega Bloks bricks are also larger than traditional stick bricks, but they are not compatible with Lego Duplo.
