The problem is since botting problem is growing and more people are talking about it he is repeatedly getting trouble with people accusing him of botting, insulting and reporting him. Over the last few months it is getting worse and worse. He can not play PvP anymore without sone people in mapchat calling him out as bot and wanting him reported.

It's not stuck per se, it does download something and the file amount goes down every time i close and reopen the client, albeit just a little. Apparently I have found and fixed the download problem (in my particular case). Long time, maybe several months, if not a year ago I changed the command line in the GW2 shortcut to this:"C:\Program Files (x86)\Guild Wars 2\Gw2-64.exe" -assetsrv 174.35.71.9:80and all the time since that my client was using an address 174.35.71.9 as the asset server. Close your GW2 client. Delete your "Guild Wars 2"-folder (C:\Users\ [YOU]\Documents\Guild Wars 2), make sure to backup your screens! Reboot. It should now work (atleast it does with me). I usually have to close the client with the task manager before doing the above, because it totally bugs out.
